Space agency ISRO launches 3 satellites: What you need to know about the mission

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Thursday launched the PSLV-C53

The PSLV-C53 mission carried three satellites from Singapore on Thursday

It is the space agency's 55th mission and was launched from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh at 6.02 pm

This is the second dedicated commercial mission of Newspace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of ISRO

The PSLV-C53 is designed to launch the DS-EO satellite into orbit

The PSLV-C53 is designed to launch the DS-EO satellite into orbit

The four-stage, 44.4-meter-long rocket has a lift-off mass of 228.433 tons

The launch vehicle carried three satellites - the DS-EO, 365 kg and the NeuSAR, 155 kg satellite

The third satellite is the 2.8 kg Scoob-1 from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore
